Active Web Page Problems

Linux problems. Linux is a popular server option, and not least because Active Web Pages are produced in PHP and Linux supports PHP well. However, if you create your test, lesson or survey directly onto a Linux server share then some files can be missed out. Version 2.02 improves this. However, if you experience problems then the recommended approach is to create your files on your desktop (or some other place on your computer's own hard disk), and then copy them to the Linux server.

Permissions. Another issue you may come across is file and folder permissions. You may need to change permissions on folder Editor creates for its files to 777 (this is a Unix/Linux setting). If you do not know how to do this then it is best to ask your network manager.
